Euro Elections

Message added by mort

This thread has been reviewed and returned to the main forum.

A couple of points for you to take note of.

We expect it to remain civil and within our usual forum rules.

As this is about an election the following will apply

Here at SF we try to ensure fair play, and that includes during elections. We don't allow links direct to political party websites or to sites that spread spurious stories for political influence at any time, and that will continue. We also ask candidates and those campaigning for political parties to follow our code of conduct in the run up to elections. In order to not provide any influence unfairly to any side, we ask that those who are standing or who represent a party refrain from posting in threads to do with political discussion or elections during the 4 week run up to the vote.

It's  mandatory and your account will be suspended if you don't do it.

If you have any questions please take them to the helpdesk rather than starting threads attacking the forum team. If you do that then your account will be suspended.

So its not true ?

It would be true if the DUP supported the deal as there are one or two Labour MPs who will vote with the government (John Mann and Kate Hoey

That would just about get it over the line given the Tories have lost Soubry & Co.

What a charming candidate the Brexit Party have got in the North West

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2019/may/06/brexit-party-mep-candidate-praised-use-of-nazi-slogan

- Praising the use of Nazi slogans - "that is offence archaeology and people are tired of it" - no we're not, that's against your record and the electorate need to be reminded of it

- Liverpool fans are criminals

- Obscene language directed at women via social media

- References to a sex act involving a young girl

Oh.

And the Brexit Party refuse to disclose their policies.

(Unlike, for example, UKIP.

Who have)

Edit: North East.

Not North West.

Schoolboy error there.

why have I got one to vote on the eu election when we won't be in the  eu. It seems a waste of time and money to arrange an election. Or is this another plot to keep us in the eu

Because we're still in the EU, and we're not out until we're out?

Even if they hooked up with other populist and far right parties they don't have the numbers.

I also read somewhere that any MEP who acts to actively undermine the European Parliament can be sanctioned, including witholding their salary and expenses.

Blimey Farage must never be out of the headmasters' office.
