A couple of points for you to take note of.

We expect it to remain civil and within our usual forum rules.

As this is about an election the following will apply

Here at SF we try to ensure fair play, and that includes during elections. We don't allow links direct to political party websites or to sites that spread spurious stories for political influence at any time, and that will continue. We also ask candidates and those campaigning for political parties to follow our code of conduct in the run up to elections. In order to not provide any influence unfairly to any side, we ask that those who are standing or who represent a party refrain from posting in threads to do with political discussion or elections during the 4 week run up to the vote.

It's  mandatory and your account will be suspended if you don't do it.

If you have any questions please take them to the helpdesk rather than starting threads attacking the forum team. If you do that then your account will be suspended.

Maybe we should combine  this thread and the UKIP thread into one.

We could call it Nigel Farage, The Cult Of Personality thread.

Quite.

Both are single issue partys (on the same issue), but UKIP has pretty much fallen apart since his departure and can't be far off calling it a day.

He opens up another party about Brexit and it soars in popularity?

Nigel finally gave up on trying to keep a lid on the unsavoury aspects of many UKIP members, it's now openly racist, which is why Nigel formed his new party. It does seem as if the new party's root are already showing through though - Brexit party figures who left over offensive posts are still directors:

Two senior members of Nigel Farage’s

Brexit party who left their roles after the Guardian reported offensive social media messages they had sent are still directors of the organisation weeks after they had supposedly cut all ties, it has emerged.

Catherine Blaiklock, the first leader of the party, who resigned over a series of anti-Islam messages, and the former treasurer Michael McGough, who was ousted because of antisemitic and other offensive Facebook posts, are still listed as directors.

...

The only other two directors are Farage and the new treasurer, Phillip Basey, a former Ukip activist.

The new party is going to have the same problems with racism that the old one did.

The Brexit party is already giving the EU nightmares. The one thing they fear is large numbers of Brexit MEP`s .

They are going to cause a lot of damage to the tories and Labour in the Euro elections.

But I thought didn’t we had any power to cause the EU nightmares?

Did you know that the Communist Party of Great Britain are telling their members to vote for Farage's Brexit Party?

:D
