Who next for Tory Leader/PM?

Recommended Posts

He's an abject failure at the very thing he thought he was destined for.

It would be tragic if it weren't so hilarious.

For now, it feels remarkable to think that barely five weeks ago, the vast majority of Tory MPs were telling us Boris Johnson was the only possible answer to various questions. It turns out those questions were: “How would Dudley Dursley and Draco Malfoy’s baby look and behave?”, “What if you shaved the Honey Monster and put him in a suit for a court appearance?” and “Does anyone know the ancient Greek for ****ting the bed?”.

Despite practising since boyhood, Boris Johnson’s entire demeanour is that of a man who has won a competition to lead the country for a day. He is Mike Bassett: England Prime Minister, yet wheels out jokes he’s done 437 times before as though he’s Frank Sinatra and reckons the crowd can’t wait to see him do My Way again. Johnson must be the only performer whose audience spends his gigs screaming: PLEASE, DO YOUR NEW STUFF.

Physically, he seems in a remarkable state. Apart from looking like he cuts his hair with the bacon scissors, the PM’s shtick is bizarre and juddering, as though some of his innards are trying to escape. Perhaps they have found the tension between the bodily functions they are required to provide and the national interest unresolvable.

The leftist clique on here are really desperate to use this platform to have a go at Boris Johnson and the Tories, ironically as bad as he is and they are, he is still a more credible option for many in this country than commie Corbyn and his cronies, it merely tells us all how bad the state of British politics is today, and no I'm not a Tory fan boy, I do despise Corbyn, though not as obsessively as most leftists on here despise those on the political right,  my only hope is that the electorate turn on all these hypocritical clowns at the first opportunity.

We want to wait but die hard Leavers don’t. What is wrong with having a general election after the 31st October?

Leave voters have  already been waiting for far too long for the democratic 2016 EU referendum result to be implemented.

What is wrong with having a General Election  on 14th or 15 October, then if Labour win  Corbyn could go to the EU summit and ask for another extension?

Someone’s got monk on this morning! Nobody needs a platform to have a go at Bonkers and the Tories, they’re imploding all by themselves.

Nah!  He should let Bonkers Johnson lead a chaotic minority government and show his uselessness as a PM.  Then go for an election when the Tories tank in the polls.

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

Corbyn isn't letting anyone do anything.  Corbyn wanted a vote of no confidence in Boris  but  failed to get the support to have one because  the opposition parties don't see him as a credible alternative Prime Minister.  There were only 21 now ex Tory MPs who didn't support Boris and Corbyn hasn't  even got the real support of 21 of his own MPs.   You can make jokes about Boris but the main reason the date for the next General Election hasn't been set is because Corbyn is the real joke.

We have already had one GE since the referendum and more people voted for Remain parties than for leaving.

i.e.Conservatives plus UKIP plus DUP lost.

A GE at this juncture solves nothing as regards Brexit.

Only a second referendum could resolve the issue one way or the other.
