By the way, the house in question is a large Victorian townhouse with very thick walls. Unless you have a window open, you really have to be going some to be heard from within the house. Flats have properties above and below too, which is where most noise transmits, particularly with converted old houses that weren't purpose built. A number of senior Conservatives, including Malcolm Rifkind in an interview with LBC, have said that it is right that of the police were called to his house, it is right that Johnson speaks about it. They knocked on the door three times to ask if everything was alright and when they got no answer and the rowing continued, along with sounds of things being smashed, they called the police.
