Has it escaped your notice that the majority of vehicles on the road are private cars? So, there will be lots of them at all the monitoring locations, not just that one.

If the council felt that it was necessary to include private cars, they would have.

It'll be a glorious day for all once your rose tinted glasses slip....

Far too many buses on the road! Most three quarters empty. Overcrowded roads due to several different bus companies competing for the same punter. Ridiculous!

Apart from the 120/52 routes, I don't think this applies, and certainly on most routes, the frequency has also been reduced.

I agree. And yet people are coming on here saying there arent enough of them, its downright bizarre. They binned a load off last month because, shock horror, people werent using them.

As above, most services that still exist are running at a reduced frequency.  Is that why 'there aren't enough of them'?

I have said before it is utter madness to split the 52/52A between two companies who then fail to cooperate on a day to day basis operationally to ensure if they have problems the other company is not also cancelling the bus before or after.

in theory with one company responsible for the whole route there ought to be a better day to day service but then that may be a big assumption with stagecoach and first. Guess the same applies on the 120.

Just seen an article on the Sheffield Online FB page saying this scheme starts at the end of Feb 2023.  Hackney cabs will be exempt for the first few months also.

The comments are a hoot, mainly from people who still havent read things properly and still think that cars have to pay it.
