A night giving the stage over to a whole host of local musicians. Expect beautiful ballads right through to burning Be-Bop; meaningful Mainstream to mad Modal; furious Funk to the frightfully Free; lively Latin to luscious Lounge; and classic Cool through to the curiously Contemporary! 8.30pm, free entry. Knock 3 times and say necessity sent you.Tues 16th July: Treebeard Folk Session Chris McMahon (Treebeard, Haze, Strongheart, Silverwheel) and friends join us for a new night of acoustic folk. Performers of all abilities are welcome and, naturally, everyone welcome to listen and watch. 8.30pm, free entry Weds 17th July: Quiz Night The irrepressible Duncan is back with his fiendish but light hearted quiz. 3 rounds of pop culture, music and general knowledge. £30 to be won + spot rounds and the infamous art challenge. What's more, there's even a free buffet to boot with something to cater for every dietary requirement. 9pmThursday 18th July: Jam Night Chris Firminger & The TwoJays host this long standing Sheffield Jam session, welcoming performers from across South Yorkshire and further afield. Expect performances from the likes of Thor, Black Sabbra, Ricochet, Open Jaw Fayre and a whole other host of talent. Full P.A. and backline provided, all abilities welcomed. Come play, watch and listen. 9pm, free entryFriday 19th July: Vamp Vamp formed in 2003 and gig all over the North of England from their home base of South Yorks. They play a mix of 'Good Time' Classic Rock songs along with a few of their own mixed in. The band are a 'Digital Free Zone', playing Vintage Guitars through old Valve Amps. Classic rock at it's very best. Only playing 8 gigs this year due to new projects, check them out on this rare appearance for 2019.9.30pm, free entry Saturday 20th July: Schaeffer Schaeffer started life in the mid 1980’s as a reflection of the move rock music was making from NWOBHM to a more ‘glam’ / ‘pop’ style of more accessible music They played a mixture of original material and pop rock covers from the charts at the time. After some local success playing around the north of England and through various lineup changes they called it a day in 1992. Since this time all band have had various other projects, many with some success. In 2017 Mark and Harris decided that some of the old original material was worthy of a reboot and gathered a group of top musos from local bands to help reform Schaeffer. Get ready! 9.30pm, free entrySunday 21st July: The Martin Allen SwearathonA tribute and a fundraiser to Mein Host, the marvelous Martin Allen. We're opening at noon to make sure all of Martin's favourite bands get a chance to play so please take note of the earlier opening time! Featuring in no particular order:FahrenheitOpen Jaw FayreThe CarnivalMetropolisSwear BoxPaddy MaguireVyndictiveMarv White and more All playing throughout the day and there'll be food, raffles and plenty of opportunity to raise cash for Ashgate.
