Just read that the Spurs manager a come forward with a manager he as told Chansiri as a good candidate for the Owls job Nestor Lorenzo is the name, but we really want someone who knows what is required to manage in the English leagues

Why, Farke, Santo, Wagner etc all had no previous knowledge and took they’re respective teams up (two as Champions).

My fear is that Wednesday will go for one of the merry go round of managers who pop up and achieve little, the usual candidates

What about Wagner he got Huddersfield promoted.

Bullen will be caretaker manager for about 4 games, get 12 points and then one of the merry go round managers will  get the job and send Wednesday back to mid table boredom

Why not just give Bullen the job until Christmas and if Wednesday are runaway leaders, then offer him a 2 year contract or something

Strikes me that if you cant identify a suitable English/British/Irish manager, German is the way to go. eg. Farke, Wagner, Stendel. Portuguese managers, it's a mixed picture, eg Boa Morte, Morais, Santos,

The last ENGLISH footbal manager to win division one/premier league was in 1992, Howard Wilkinson.

If you where an ambitious championship club with some money to spend where would you look?

Wilko may not be interested in the job.

It can work both ways clearly, as Jos and Carlos showed.

Anyone is a risk, but I'd rather have a younger manager with something to prove, regardless of where they're from over someone like Tony Pulis or Chris Coleman.

Chris Coleman should be alright, he is three-year young er than Chris Wilder.

Come on Alan, what's age got to do with it ? And as an Owls fan, why not leave Chris Wilder out of the discussion, it's nowt to do with him or the Blades.

Exactly ,  age is not a barrier in football management just pointing it out.
