There have been many 'failed Cowley's.'

Paul Heckingbottom did well at Barnsley but failed at Leeds. Paul Hirst did well at Shrewsbury but it didn't work at Ipswich. Nathan Jones is struggling at Stoke after doing a good job at Luton.

......but then you get Chris Wilder.

Was a time, before the Premier League,ALL our top flight managers came from lower league clubs, and players that could make the transition followed them,Wilder has bucked the trend of foreign managers and players, long may it continue, theres  so much untapped british talent struggling for recognition they move abroad for game time.

Using the old George Burley system that was a success at Ipswich has served him well

Wilder has revolutionised british football through developing an unorthodox style of play and tactics, that even has top flight managers in awe.

Quote Solksjaer: "Sheffield United are a very unique team, unlike any other in the country right now. The team are very well drilled and each player knows their own individual tasks. The use of attacking central defenders is like nothing we have seen before, but they do it so very well. You have to take your hat off to Chris WIlder and it would be stupid not to rate them as a serious threat in the premier league"

He's done very well, no doubt about it, and the budget he's done it on makes it even better

But revolutionised British football ? Steady on

GBs side were renown for their overlapping centre backs and sweeper keeper during the 80s was it? @ the time it was very different and noboddy else played that way, probably a bit before Solksjaers memories of english football

I wonder if Danny Cowley turned the Owls down to join Huddersfield or Chansari decided that Garry Monk was a better option ?

Well fate has thrown them both together this weekend , and its on sky.

Danny Cowley turned Huddersfield down to join Huddersfield. Waiting for an approach that never came?

Are you sure that quote hasn't been made up, it doesn't even make sense.
