It's historical and a separate charge. He is being charged with sending racist hare mail to himself on the set of Empire. Have yourself a google. 30 minutes ago, Mister M said: There was a thread on it. Unfortunately it had to be closed down because prejudiced people on this forum used the opportunity to make offensive remarks. That's a real shame. 19 minutes ago, melthebell said: Which is prolly why this one's been started, let the prejudice begin, 1,2,3.....go Why do you accuse me of intention to be prejudice? Based on the fact the case involves an ex-chief of staff to Michelle Obama sending texts / emails to a relative of Smollett. https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/03/27/jussie-smollett-investigation-ex-michelle-obama-aide-tina-tchen/3294546002/ Well, they're black - that's as good as guilty to Trumps "send 'em back" supporters. Waj
Smollet "may" have done the wrong thing. As far as im concerned he is innocent until proved guilty in a court of law but if he has done wrong then ask yourself why he felt the need to do what he did. He probably wanted to shine light on the discrimination and plain old fashioned racism many people of colour face on a daily basis in the US. For that he should be commended. Until Smollet has been found guilty in a court of law then as far as im concerned he is an innocent man or do you feel trial by social media to be a good thing? 3 minutes ago, JamesR123 said: No he wanted to earn himself a pay rise by being the centre of this all. You said you think he is innocent until proven guilty, but 'if he has done wrong' it was probably to shine a light on discrimination and should be commended. So, in other words, if he did fake the hate crime, he should be commended for it. How are you now claiming that that isn't what you said?
