NI will have to stay in a customs union and obey the rules of said union. That is being ruled by the EU using the backstop.

No, that is having the same tariffs in the North as in the South.

 

That is no more being ruled by the EU than having our aircraft subject to EASA safety regulations.

NI has different laws, it’s own government, armed police, and women and gay citizens do not have the same rights as the rest of us.
