The one at Tyzack Sons & Turner was early 80s. Security guard was in on it. He was pretending to be concussed but wasn't showing any signs that he was. Not long after we were paid directly into the bank.

There was a prominent Sheffield safe breaker (Peterman ) knocking around at that time , he did post offices and other jobs as a side line . He was eventually caught and did big time in the slammer , the guy lived in the Meersbrook area  ,he was a a flamboyant chap around Town .

Its possible as he was no nut meg used to see him on a regular basis in the local Park.

Just googled Sheffield gangsters and he is top of the list . no names , no pack drills .
