I think there was 150,000 people there. The atmosphere must have been electric.

My son (who’s into Metallica, Led Zep etc) said it was absolutely fantastic. Thanks Nikki, I'd overlooked that. It does show that age is catching up with him however; but isn't it with everyone. echo. 13 hours ago, Padders said: It's time we got some of the great acts back from yesteryear. Just imagine watching the late, great Des-O'connor playing Glastonbury. I'd second that Padders; particularly if he was accompanied by Morecambe and Wise.🙂 echo. I think that's the marvellous thing about Glastonbury; it caters for all tastes and all ages. Just look at the crowd. Whether you're a minor or a wrinkly like me you'll find some artistes and music to enjoy and you may be surprised from what era it comes. Providing the music is good and the lyrics recognisable you'll find the young singing along with old classics and the more mature folks joining in with the newer stuff. echo. I don’t mean Elton but some of the younger singers just scream and shout. ! Yes pattricia, they'd be much better 'twisting and shouting' just like in the old days. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeaaaaah! echo
