echo beach Posted January 5 Share Posted January 5 (edited) Tuesday watched ‘Malta, Jewel of the Med. Good programme and reminded me of a holiday we spent there pre Covid. Just a bit too much promotion of a certain restaurant on the island for my liking. Lunchtime today ‘Father Brown’ rather cheesy but set in 1955 and so nostalgic for viewers like me who remember that period. Tonight Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job. They’re off again renovating an old house, bought for next to nothing, this time in Fornovalasco which is a village near Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. As was the case in their last project they’ll spend most of their summer there eating, drinking and socialising with the locals with the odd sequence of them getting their hands dirty. At the end they’ll infer that they’ve done it all themselves when an army of tradesmen have actually done the work. Interesting to see what the end result is however. echo.
