A South Yorkshire issue too. +1 to Corbyn When Corbyn visited the flood areas, he said that he would look into the insurance companies that won't give cover for flooding

Some homes are not insurable against flood for good reason. He'd be much better off holding the Govt to account against flood defences and releif work which he does appear to be doing

Insurance Companies are very happy to take payments off those least likely to claim, while those who need it most can't get it. Nice business. hauxwell
Does any one know why Hilary Clinton is interfering in our December General Election? She has done an interview with the BBC. Something to do with a report on Russian interference in British politics, she says that the report should be released before the General Election, and not after. Could it be because she believes Russia interfered with the American Presidential Election, which she lost. How can Russia interfere with a general election in the UK? Running political ads on the web. Setting it's troll army to promote viewpoints beneficial to Russia (Putin is very pro-brexit). If the report was just about Russia trying to influence the EU referendum and this election it probably wouldn't be blocked by the government. The real issue is it also covers Russian attempts infiltrate the Conservative Party. It's also worth pointing out that the report has been cleared by the security services. The government keep saying it has complete a clearance process as if there's some outstanding national security reason to stop it - but the only people left to clear it are the government. alchresearch
So, the "sophisticated cyber attack" on Labour (and the spurious link to the Russians) was nothing out of the ordinary. 'Sophisticated' cyber attack on UK Labour Party platforms was probably just a DDoS, says official https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/11/12/labour_party_reports_cyber_attack/ Quote However, subsequent reports have suggested it was actually a DDoS attack. "It was really very everyday, nothing more than what you would expect to see on a regular basis," a security official with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. Also: Quote Today was the deadline for Labour CLPs to get their freepost printing done. Could it be that a last-minute scramble has overwhelmed Labour’s servers? [...] True a lot of people logging on can seem like a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack or it could just be a lot of people trying to log on before the deadline."
