bit addictive all this looking back at TV business.

 

Budgie (71 -72)  with the late great  Billy Fury and Ian Cuthbertson.

 

My favorite line was one from The follow on to Budgie -

CHARLES ENDELL ESQUIRE  when Ian Cuthbertson say's

" that's NO a glass of Whisky - it's a - DIRTY GLASS"

being from Scotland and having been known to par-take in the odd Glass

in my drinking days I could relate to that.

 

Budgie is on utube so i will have to catch up with it.

It was Adam Faith not Billy Fury.  Ian Cuthbertson was brilliant in it.

Nope that was Callan. with Edward Woodward & and the rather shifty Lonley - Russell Hunter.

Budgie had Budgie chasing bank notes that he'd spilled from a brief case  he'd just stolen.

Very clever first they spelt out Adam Faith and then they spelt out Iain Cuthbertson after blowing about for a while.

Thanks for that Rocker.  I was not old enough to watch any of them at the time but I do remember bits of both of them

Both currently being repeated on ITV4.

 

This thread could be retitled "TV Series That I Haven't Noticed Are Currently Being Repeated On Freeview". You lot can't be missing these programmes much if you can't be bothered to check if they are on the free to air channels.

Looking at a lot of the programmes mentioned in the thread people would like to see again, your first run aught to be YouTube.  You can sometimes get entire series posted on the site.
