I have always assumed that these lights are only for the side road and continued round even whe they were at red, however a couple of times recently I have been behind drivers who have stopped here when the lights were red then when they turned green continued round to the right. So, who is right? Those drivers or myself?? Here is the junction https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.4251992,-1.3587771,3a,75y,22.65h,83.56t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s4tRcbQgoIRbRMznIYT_9iQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Seems pretty obvious to be honest, it's a traffic light on a single carriageway. It wouldn't cross my mind to continue round to the right if the lights were not on green. Its also on my current cycling to work route, unexcitingly.
