bootsy
hi, if there are any girl's/women interested in playing rugby league, Hillsborough Hawks has summer training on going on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6.15pm - 8.00pm. It doesnt matter if you've never played before or if you've played forever, all sizes, heights and levels of (un)fitness etc are welcome;) . If you're not keen on contact, you can still come down as we do play tag rugby (non contact rugby) for part of the training session on fridays. A couple of the players do a jog about Hillsborough on Tuesdays for about 20 minutes. The training ground is at Hillsborough Arena which is right next to Hillsborough Park. Please PM me for more details:) . cheers:thumbsup:

colaroid
I have never played before but might be interested in a few weeks (I am injured at the moment) when do you play/train?
bootsy
karetemma, to be honest rugby is scary when watching from the sideline. but once you're on the pitch it's a lot of fun. but you dont have to worry, you wont be thrown into the deep end. beginners are taught the basics and are not introduced to contact until you feel ready for it. at the moment we're doing a lot of skills drills, touch/tag (non contact) rugby which means you can get to learn the game without worrying about the contact part. colaroid, sorry about your injury. we train on wednesdays and fridays from 6.30pm at hillsborough arena which is next to hillsborough park. the season will start in september and games are usually at 2pm on sundays. you're both more than welcome to cme down for a couple of sessions and give it a shot, see how you like it. cheers
