While no one can really tell what's in anyones mind we can tell by which way they vote where their sympathies lay. We can also judge from the tone of the campaigning precisely what type of demographic were the target of the campaigners. There is also personal contact with people and their attitude to various aspects of the campaign and their attitude toward things in general. Loobs contention that racists would almost certainly vote leave was a perfectly reasonable educated guess.
