Once again, our glorious leaders have chosen to delay checks on imports - because it would cause delays, add costs, add beauracracy, etc.

and they told us we were taking back control...

(not to mention that this puts us in breach of WTO rules)

The financial toll of Brexit continues apace.

The UK is doing a shoddy job of keeping up with the neighbours:

Dan Hannan, former co-leader of the Brexit campaign:

Britain is now a poor nation:

Is Britain really as poor as Mississippi?

Exports of services have held up relatively well while trade in goods has cratered...

...its status as the pre-eminent global financial hub is slipping away.

In essence, without London, yes...

I was listening to the radio about dropping the EU rules on river pollution, in order to build more houses. We very much need more houses, but some were not happy about more river pollution. They also implied that there would be more money to sort out the pollution issue. So really, they are not dropping the EU rules, they just wanted a story to claim leaving the EU meant something.

Yes, well they don't want to have to talk about the state the water network is in, and how badly the water companies behave.  Because taking those things private was a very Tory idea.

Britain Should Stop Pretending It’s a Rich Country:

"The Tory government bears much of the responsibility for these dismal facts — it has presided over the biggest fall in labor productivity growth in 260 years of data. Brexit has clearly done direct economic harm: The Bank of England has estimated that Brexit reduced investment by 25% during the five years to 2021, largely due to uncertainty. It also distracted politicians from the mundane work of fixing day-to-day economic problems."

Brexit has, and continues, to suck all the oxygen out of the room... government is paralysed by the stupidity, and cost, of it's own policies.

Again    -    Brexit spoils it and       Again    -    the government drags it's feet.                  Great Britain becomes a third rate set of nobodies.

Only thing we have plenty of is sewage.

Hmmm...

And trolls...

... please don't forget the trolls! :hihi:
