The Norway comparison is ludicrous.  Norway is well over one thousand miles away from mainland Europe meaning freedom of movement is not a big issue like it was to the UK when they were in the Single Market.

Norway is in mainland Europe, it isn't a thousand miles from Europe, it forms part of Europe. Norway has land borders with Sweden and Finland both of which are also countries in mainland Europe and both of which are member states of the EU.

Where exactly do you think Norway is? countries_europe_map-L.jpg

Stop nitpicking.  Norway is not on mainland Europe and is over one thousand miles away from France.

That's the only way he / she knows.

Norway is Part of mainland Europe it cannot be described as being anywhere other than that because it forms part of the land mass of Europe (excluding the surrounding islands) which is known as Mainland Europe.

What's France got to do with it? You haven't got a clue have you?

Norway is part of Scandinavia.

In general, Scandinavia denotes Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The term Norden refers to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. These form a group of countries having affinities with each other and are distinct from the rest of continental Europe

France is an example of a mainland or continental Europe country.  I will always have a better clue on anything than you.

Pity you're a gigantic idiot then.

Continental Europe or mainland Europe is the contiguous mainland of Europe, excluding its surrounding islands.[1] It can also be referred to ambiguously as the European continent,
