Consequences Of Brexit [Part 9] Read First Post Before Posting

Recommended Posts

Worth remembering the good people of Dover voted pretty comprehensively for Brexit.

A place that pretty much only exists due to it's proximity to Europe, where many people's jobs and livelihood will be linked to smooth trade across the channel.

That's the kind of absolute meat that thought it was a good idea.

Surprise Surprise none of the anti Brexit and anti democratic contributors have commented about the Northern Ireland situation and the new agreement with the DUP.

No surprise at all because the government kept the details secret until yesterday and even then, they were only released to the parties concerned and not announced to the general public.

We cannot even be sure at this stage how happy are those who know the details until they speak out on what it all means.

There is nothing whatsoever undemocratic about having a different view to the government or even to the majority vote of the public.

We have to accept that Brexit has happened but it is not anti democratic to not like it and believe it was the wrong thing to do.   It would seem you believe in controlling peoples minds.

When the details are made known,  I may well have something to say but I notice that you yourself have not commented either.

The EU, the Irish government, Sinn Féin, the Labour and LibDem parties, and the majority of the Tory and DUP parties are all happy with the deal.

So far, the only people to express dissatisfaction with it are some of the DUP and the more extreme brexiters within the Tory party.

I suggest you wait until the implications of the deal become clear before getting too exited.

and let's be honest, if someone thinks Northern Ireland getting a slightly better trade deal is something worth celebrating, they really are a simpleton.

They had none of this nonsense before, it's all Brexit.

It is all kicking off in the EU with the farmers rioting.  Thank goodness they have a water cannon in Brussels.  All that tyre burning is not good for the environment.   The wheels are falling off the EU bus.  We have the leave voters to thank for getting our country out of the EU mess.

Meanwhile our own PM is happy to be associated with The No Farmers No Food campaign in a search for rural votes.
Sunak stands with net zero and climate conspiracy group at farming protest

Revealed: The Climate Denial Network Behind ‘Classic Astroturf’ Farmers’ Campaign

The campaign, which started in the UK, has rapidly won support from a number of international pundits, from Canadian climate science denier Jordan Peterson, to Fox News contributor and host Tomi Lahren, who has called climate change a “hoax”. Populist politicians in the UK and elsewhere have also declared their support.

Conspiracy theorists have jumped to support the social media account, which has boosted false claims about people being forced by the World Economic Forum to “eat bugs”.

Do bear in mind the Tory party's association with thinktanks, such as The Heritage Foundation, who also promote climate change denial, and who sought to influence the UK re. Brexit
How the right’s radical thinktanks reshaped the Conservative party

In the wake of the Brexit vote, ultra free market thinktanks have gained exceptional access to the heart of Boris Johnson’s government.

Never heard of Joe Giddens/PA   For all we know this Joe Giddens could be just another Cheeky Girl.

Does this Joe Giddens have any statistics to report on how  all the G7  nations imports and exports have preformed since 2018?
