katy did
the sports centre near Hillsborough Park (not the swimming one but the one on middlewood road) has large screens, is family friendly and i think the advert said they had a free buffet at half time. venger
dont they show the football in meadowhall (oasis)? Tend to avoid the place but seems like a reasonable idea, not sure about getting lagers out of the bar though

Matt_zero
Would you really go to Meadowhall though to watch football, you'd only end up in the Meadowhall pub, rather than sitting in the central bit...
crookesey
This sums up Sheffield City Council for me. I happened to be in Berlin for Germanys opening game. There must have been about 20,000 fans near the Brandenburg Gate watching it on the big screens. Even Hull has one! Sheffield managed it for the snooker. Backward. No other word. I couldn't agree more.

The pub has closed down and is being re opened after the world cup.
