Phanerothyme Posted June 19, 2006 Share Posted June 19, 2006 If you want to see stars (i.e the Milky Way)you really need to get out of England - West wales, Northwest scotland etc. If you don't want to travel too far, i'd say travel North and position yourself somewhere in the middle of saddleworth moor, but you are still going to miss most stars due to urban glow from Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield etc. Also, check the moon, and don't go out on a full or gibbous moon. littlestarshine Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 the strines,,, in near lower bradfield,,, maggggggggggnificent veiws overlooking bradfield, theres benches outside and a like play area/farm so u can sit out there playing on the swings with ur beloved,,, ahhhhhhhhh its less than 10 mins drive outta loxley/wisewood/hillsboro and well worth it,, they do fantastic chips one thing tho dont go if u dont like peacocks,,, at sundown they roost and make a blooming racket in the process hope that helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
