Covid: Can UK avoid a Europe-style return to lockdown? - BBC News

The UK has, in effect, already had the wave the rest of Europe is seeing and has managed to avoid being swamped by it.

That is mainly because of the amount of immunity built up.

A combination of good vaccine rollout, particularly among the older more vulnerable groups who are the ones most at risk of serious illness, and natural immunity from infection means there is likely to be a much smaller pool of vulnerable people for the virus to infect.

A  death rate per head of population over 3 times that of Scandanavian neighbours would tend to indicate a failure as far as that policy  goes.

Only time will tell, they've been pretty much back to normal and have been throughout the plandemic, unfortunately the covid obsessed don’t take into account the physical and mental damage that lockdowns etc cause, just the black and white.

Jens Spahn, German Health Secretary, yesterday:

“By winter’s end, everyone will be vaccinated, recovered or dead”

Un-Germanly undiplomatic, in its brutal frankness. But clearly necessary to get the message through.

It is high time indeed, that people in charge everywhere stopped skirting around the issues and dropped the kid gloves.

If you agree with statements like this you really do need help, I can guarantee with 100% certainty that this will be proved wrong by "winters end".

How can it be proved wrong it’s pretty obvious what he said wasn’t it - you’ll either have a jab and not die, recover and not die, or die.

This is indeed, the big, big problem.

The mainstream narrative is so obsessively focused on the problems arising from the virus, that it seems almost blind to the problems caused by the lockdowns in terms of mental illness etc- even less so the damage to freedom and civil liberties.

Absolutely, missed cancer screenings alone will result in many avoidable deaths, deaths at home have seen a huge increase in the last 18 months but some don't care in the slightest because its not Covid.

Remember Tops thought losing 1% of the Covid infected was a price worth paying to avoid restrictions on his life.

As Sweden are showing it was, no circumstance would have led to zero deaths so you take the approach with the least collateral damage. Don't try to make out I'm the callous one when you've shown total disregard for anything but Covid.
