Coronavirus - Part Two.

The Times 22 Nov 21 (p12)

Britain's previous high infection rate makes it unlikely that it will follow European countries into another lockdown scientists have said. Sir John Bell, regius professor of medicine at Oxford, said that despite soaring cases in the rest of Europe Britons should be safe to order their Christmas turkeys because there was more immunity in the population. "Back in the dark days of March, April and May 2020 everybody said Gosh aren't those Germans clever, they haven't got any Covid and aren't the British dumb because they've got lots of it ?" Bell told Times Radio. "Actually I don't think it has quite worked out that way. One of the interesting things is that it may well be that the delay in the lockdown in the UK, the pretty extensive level of disease, has given us longer term protection"

Sir Andrew Pollard, director of the Oxford Vaccine Group, agreed with Bell that is was unlikely Britain would follow Europe's path in part because it has had such a high caseload since the summer. He added that reaching a point where the virus no longer spread was "not going to happen" and that it would be around for decades.

There's a lot of logic in this, you can't beat natural immunity and letting the virus rip through people who have the best chance of recovery (people under 75) was obviously (with hindsight) the best approach.

wrong, vaccines are precise, the exact dosage

As Sweden are showing it was, no circumstance would have led to zero deaths so you take the approach with the least collateral damage. Don't try to make out I'm the callous one when you've shown total disregard for anything but Covid.

we did take the approach with least collateral damage, sadly people did die from other things but it pales in comparison to how many couldve died without lockdowns, and sadly more died than shouldve from covid as Boris and his cronies were slower than they shouldve been in lockdown and closing borders etc

Natural immunity is better than the vaccine.

So why are countries who did lock down earlier now having to lock down again whilst we are not. The reports of excess deaths from other ailments are on the increase and will be far bigger than the Covid death toll, the huge cost to mental health will sadly never be realised.

No it isnt, like i said, it teaches your body with an exact dosage, whereas with it naturally occuring, you dont know how much of the virus you have been exposed to, you dont know if you'll be naturally immune to it. Has your body learnt to fight it with the dosage it was given?

Nearly two years of missed cancer screenings and other treatments and future mental health issues will be anything but "small fry".

top4718. Please explain how no lockdowns would mean more cancer screenings and other treatments.

sigh, again wrong, with all of the lockdowns we had 100s of thousands of deaths, without lockdowns that could be millions who knows. With covid you need to look how many actually died, then do some maths to work out how many couldve died if it was left to rampage through society.

Ok that's why all the countries who've built up natural immunity are doing better than the ones that haven't, I'll leave it there 🤦‍♂️

There is nothing to prove that whatsoever.

This makes no sense.

all the countries i see with lower vaccination statuses are now picking up higher cases and deaths.

like Germany, your fellow covid protesters, low vaccination rate, high cases
