Playing Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia is likely to appeal to an older audience, but will turn off the younger ones. This story has nothing to do with our history or racism, singing these songs is just a thing of the past.

The BBC has said both songs will be included this year without words because of no audience. Next year they will be hopefully an audience to sing them.
