woolyhead
My electric oven has a fan inside and when cooking, hot air comes out into the room. Are fan ovens supposed to do that?
the_bloke
Define hot air; my oven has a fan in the section behind the dials and buttons to keep the electronics cool(ish) when the oven is on. It's vented underneath the buttons, at the top of the door so feels like it's air coming out of the oven. It's not especially hot though, more a warm breeze. medusa
If the door is shut and the heat is coming out into the room from the fan then I'd suggest that you've got a seal problem. Whilst I can feel a breeze underneath my oven door when it's on, it's not very warm. If the air is hot then somewhere is missing a functional seal.
