Janus
The competition and markets authority said that over a two year period, the firm's contracts stopped insurers advertising cheaper elsewhere. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-54986073
alchresearch
Not surprised in the slightest. I insure 3 vehicles, and out of all the comparison sites they always came out dearer . In one case all the comparison sites brought up the same insurer (Esure) and they were all within a few quid of each other, except for the Meerkat one which was £69 more expensive. TBH I don't have a high opinion of any of them, I tend to use their cheapest quote as a target to beat, and so far that hasn't been difficult. Thirsty Relic
I think the OP in the title is blaming the wrong people, and this needs to be addressed. Meercats are individuals, doing the job they are paid for. If you were to research their history, you would recognise the battles they have had in trying to make a future for themselves. If anyone wants to look further into this, I can recommend reading the excellent autobiography of one of them - Aleksandr Orlov: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9583342-a-simples-life
alchresearch
I suppose sponsoring Coronation Street and hosting Little Mix concerts cost money and they need to get it from somewhere.
