ninjatoon Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 Used to bus commute Maltby to Sheffield and back everyday. The X7 is the best to take but it only runs weekdays during the commuting times. Saturdays - 287 / 286 misses out Rotherham Town Centre so is a bit quicker than bus to Rotherham then taking another bus to Maltby. Think the 287 only runs once an hour though. Camrat78 Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 Maltby is famous for the amount of 'mad' inhabitants such as mark hutley, Dennis Atkins, (who shouted at vehicles,), granny green socks, the maltfriscans, (more info required), Dean [related to mark], legends like blue and spud, Eric Hardy (the Eric Hardy memorial seat ("He loved this place")on the Queens Corner commememorates this Maltby legend), the bloke who lived in cave rock (Willis?), Buff Barry South, Crazy Chris & many more.
