pattricia Posted March 31, 2021 Author Share Posted March 31, 2021 When he was manager of Sheffield Wednesday my son was sitting with his pals at the side of the road in Rivelin after they had been camping all night. He stopped his car and asked them if they wanted a lift. They accepted of course. Many years later my younger son was salmon fishing in Scotland ,and Jack was fishing on the same bank. mikeG Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 I lived in Preston when Bobby managed North End and Jack was in charge of Middlesborough. I went to watch the teams meet at Deepdale. No problem with that, a promotion from the third division wouldn’t hold much interest for anyone outside Sheffield.
