It is inevitable that larger countries will have more influence than smaller ones but nevertheless the smaller ones still have a veto. EU member states treat other members not as foes but as friends. That's why the European Coal and Steel Community/EEC/EU has proven to be the most successful peace project in history. This is something Brexiteers will never understand.
