Some were uneasy with Germany's rise to post war dominance of Europe, yet again.

They don't have an unblemished record, after all!

And. almost right on cue, there's yet another War in Europe!  :)

Bang on,  the rise of the right in the  EU is alarming, Include Ukraine in that . Although the Russian invasion no matter how justified is out of order

As long as the European Union exists no one country will dominate any other and there will be no wars between its members. EU decisions are made only when all member states are in agreement.

What does the Russia/Ukraine conflict have to do with your claim of German post war dominance.

You sure?

So you don't think European superpowers would dominate Bulgaria and Romania for example? You think those two countries have as much dominance as say France and Germany?

It is inevitable that larger countries will have more influence than smaller ones but nevertheless the smaller ones still have a veto.

EU member states treat other members not as foes but as friends. That's why the European Coal and Steel Community/EEC/EU has proven to be the most successful peace project in history.

This is something Brexiteers will never understand.  Psychologically they're still fighting WW2 even though it end 78 years ago.
