Joe Biden The New President Thoughts So Far?

Recommended Posts

The Big Question is whether Joe can offer anything beyond Trump bashing and move on.

The spectre of Trump and his 67% of the 2020 vote, hangs over the Left like Damacles Sword.

Trump dominated the politics of the World, like no other and continues to do so.

By contrast Joe, who spent 50 years in politics, and accomplished little, except enriching his relatives and apologizing for his only two signature accomplishments, Chairing the attempted "high tech lynching" of Supreme Court Justice Thomas. and authoring the 1994 Crime Bill, which "was one of the key contributors to mass incarceration in the 1990s" and which "disproportionately affected blacks".

Now Joe has his chance to shine on the World stage. He will, and should be judged by how he performs at that level. Not by the relative merits of Jill or Melania's wardrobe choices, and other petty distractions.

But so far, he has cancelled the Canada/US major Keystone Pipeline, and inexplicably supported the Russia/EU NORD Pipeline, despite the Russian Invasion of the Ukraine, which happened on his watch, and the continued Russian Hacking of U.S domestic facilities. See: "Joe Biden warns he will be tough on state sponsors of cyberattacks, as U.S. suffers massive hack" - CNBC

Joe was never an effective politician in his prime, and it is apparent to all he his now well past his "best before date".

We hope his mental facilities can deal with the job at hand, and we wish him well.

But his obsession with Trump continues, see "Biden slams Donald Trump and Republicans while on foreign soil in break with political norms" - FoxNews

The World stage is not an appropriate platform to air your domestic political grievances.

You got the job, Joe. Move on!

And perhaps some enlightened Biden supporter can tell me why it's a good idea for NATO, which Biden vows to strengthen against potential enemy Russia, to be dependent on that very same potential enemy Russia, for it's vital national security and strategic  energy needs?

Joe hasn't explained it very well.

Ah,a Trump supporter.

I will be kind .

Since Biden got near 7million more votes than Trump, that 67% looks a bit suspect as a claim.

You'll be telling global warming is a myth next.

Typo

47% of the vote, obviously!  (46.9% )

Thanks for pointing that out!

And, no, I won't be telling you that global warming is a myth. Lol

The Northern hemisphere was once covered with massive ice sheets.

They've been shrinking for a while, now!

But I suggest if you need to change the topic there's another thread that discusses that.

Russian media apparently sees Biden as a shrewd statesman, not a bumbling dotard, after Putin meeting

No question the Media loves Biden.

They got him elected.

Russia loves him  too. The last time Joe was in office they invaded the Ukraine.

But talk is cheap.

CNBC, March 17, 2021

"President Joe Biden says he believes Russian leader Vladimir Putin is a killer with no soul — and vowed that Putin soon “will pay a price” for interfering in the 2020 U.S. election and trying to boost the reelection chances of then-President Donald Trump.

“He will pay a price,” Biden said of Putin.

Asked that price would be, Biden replied, “Well, you’ll see shortly.”

So what happened when they met, 3 month's later?

Joe gave away the store!

In addition to U.S. approval of the the EU Pipeline, Putin also gets full diplomatic recognition: "Putin on Wednesday said that the Kremlin and Washington have agreed to return ambassadors to each other's capitals after they were withdrawn earlier this year".

As for those American prisoners held by Putin:

"Biden said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the fate of U.S. citizens detained in Russia during the leaders’ summit Wednesday in Geneva. "To the family of the detained Americans, we discussed it, and we are going to follow through with that discussion. I am not going to walk away on that,” Biden said at the conclusion of a press conference" - CNBC

Still waiting to hear what Price Putin is paying!

Yep, they love old Joe!
