I was raised in a religion but left it in my late teens and have been agnostic ever since. If there is in fact a God or Gods my theory is that there will be loads of them, or at least one God and many Demigods. They've existed for all eternity ( which as Woody Allen said is a very long time, especially toward the end ) so they invented a game to while away the time. The rules of the game are this, each God/Demigod is given a specific number of Galaxies to control, the winner will be the one who creates the most complex interdependent life forms and manages to create a species which is that intelligent that it can design and manufacture the means of its own total destruction and at one and the same time be that utterly stupid that it does so.
