Joe Biden The New President Thoughts So Far?

Morons do what morons do

To be clear, I wasn't calling him a moron because he endangered the lives of those who might not otherwise think to drink bleach. I was calling him a moron because he took the information he had been briefed with, ie that sunlight and cleaning products inactivate the virus on surfaces , and got excited by the idea, presumably his own idea genius idea, that it was remotely plausible that powerful lights and cleaning products could be used to do the same in the human body. It's that "small" creative leap which seemed so plausible to him that he rushed to tell the American people about it. That is the evidence, in this case, that he is a moron.

Of course Trump himself said he was asking the question to reporters,so that clears it up.

Trump at every turn was undermining the health people  and measures that unquestionably would have saved  untold numbers of lives.

He also took the finest medical treatment available while still not admitting he was vaccinated and undermining the use of vaccines ,he was the only living President not to share his vax status or be publicly vaccinated.

When Biden came to power over 4,000 a day were dying and last time I looked Florida ,under Trump lite" had the worse death rates in the US

The numbers are, under Trump 422,578 (with no vaccine available)

So far under Biden 351,081 (with vaccine available)

48,721 died in the last month alone. Perhaps by Christmas Biden will have exceeding Trump's death toll.

Trump mobilized the government and business and International Partners under "Operation Warp Spead", to develop, test and produce an effective vaccine by "the end of the year" (2020)

Here's what the Media were saying:

NBC NEWS FACT CHECK May 15, 2020

"President Donald Trump has suggested multiple times that a coronavirus vaccine could come within months, an accelerated timeline that prominent health experts and veteran vaccine developers say is unlikely, absent a miracle.

"We're looking to get it by the end of the year if we can, maybe before," Trump said Friday during in a Rose Garden event centered on his administration's efforts to fast-track a vaccine.

BUT EXPERTS SAYthat the development, testing and production of a vaccine for the public is still at least 12 to 18 months off, and that anything less would be a medical MIRACLE"

In December 2020, the United Kingdom was the first country to authorize its (Pfizer vaccine) use on an emergency basis, and in January 2020 emergency use in the U.S. was authorized.

This is a ridiculous method of making a comparison.

No doubt about it, Trump's a winner and he would have beaten Biden if he hadn't been cheated at the election.

Bidens infrastructure bill passes with bi lateral support and is the biggest federal investment in decades.

Report after report for decades under both  parties has always highlighted the poor state of infrastructure ,like thousands of bridges being at end life and a new rail tunnel needed to stop  half of NYs  rail services being crippled by the poor state if the North River tunnels but over 110 years ago

The state has seen its cases and hospitalizations decline but an analysis from the New York Times finds its death rate is still among the highest in the country.

Although Florida has reported lower COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations over the past few weeks, the state’s death rate is still among the highest in the nation.

An analysis from the New York Times finds that the number of COVID-19 deaths in Florida per 100,000 is the third highest in the country over the past seven days. And the state’s daily death average of 239.7 is higher than any other state."

Florida passed 60,000 deaths a couple of days back.

The day before the inauguration.."The U.S. reported 4,131 coronavirus-related deaths Wednesday, setting a record for the most Covid-19 deaths recorded in a single day, according to an NBC News tally."

Everybody wants infrastructure improvement. The  bill cleared the Senate back in August on a bi-partisan vote.

It is a beneficiary of having the White House, Congress and the Senate controlled by one party.

It's been trimmed down from the 3.5 Trillion original Build Back Better Bill, to a more moderate 1.2 Trillion, with the huge climate change component separated out, to be haggled over later.

The real oppostion came from the 5 radical "squad" members of the Democrat Party, who delayed and voted against it. They wanted the other $1.85 trillion Plan for pork like some climate change initiatives, free college, immigration spending, and pre K day care.

It happened on Joe's watch so he gets the credit.

(A shout out also to the Republicans and the moderate Democrats who trimmed the fat off the original bloated Bill)
