According to the BBC (see link in post #134 above) : 'Labour Group leader Terry Fox congratulated campaigners on their achievement before saying he wanted to use the result "as a positive opportunity to improve how the council works".' As condescending as Tories sneering at people in places like Hartlepool for years and saying "you could put a red rosette on a donkey and they'd vote for it" (snigger at the northern proles)? See https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-57057821 Their 'Latest Updates' section did first mention it at 11:44 with more detail following at 12:16 and they did mention it on the TV regional lunchtime news so it's not like they were ignoring it. Given there's a mention of the new leader of the Sheffield Labour Group 5 minutes before the referendum result article was published and there's a quote from him in the latter it's possible they were waiting to get quotes from the main parties concerned before publishing it.
