MEADOWHALL CAR PARK INCIDENT YESTERDAY Police were called to Meadowhall’s orange car park at 2.57pm this afternoon following reports of a robbery. An off-duty officer reported that two men, riding a suspected stolen moped, had attempted to steal jewellery from a member of the public. When challenged, the men became aggressive and were subsequently involved in an altercation with the officer and several members of the public. Numerous resources were deployed to the scene and one man, in his 20s, was detained. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.
