None of them quit the BBC or ITV in order to go and do it, did they? Of course he still has an existing career, he is still first choice for his country and arguably as good as he ever was, yet went running to the Saudis. Its pathetic really. As far as I am concerned the money aspect is irrelevant, its the fact the Saudi league is utter rubbish. Anyone arguing he is a better player than Messi needs their head examining. So if they didn’t want him why condemn him for moving to where he did? As for playing Liechtenstein don’t the other clubs play these teams?
