GabrielC
I don't agree with cancelling of his show but it doesn't look like he was going to make much out of it going by his ticket sales. Would I go? No not my thing.

Of course it *could* just be coincidence that loads of lefty snowflakes campaigned for a show to be cancelled that wasnt selling well, and then got lots of publicity for Chubby Brown... I think you are clutching at straws a bit here; Roy Chubby Brown isn't exactly U2 is he. What other gigs at the City Hall are sold out in January, so you can compare? For instance, Ross Noble isn't sold out and that is a show that has been rescheduled twice and the original tickets are still valid.
Jeffrey Shaw
The main point is: did he enter into a contract (legally-binding) for his booking? If he did, the booking should stand. There's no good reason for the venue to default. Nothing's changed about him, has it? If he didn't, and I agree that he has no right to demand a booking, why the fuss? How very tolerant of you Chubby does not just attack islam. NOTHING is safe, and I mean NOTHING. Lots of White and Christian people get it in the neck from him, Is it racist to poke fun at every religion and race? Yeah. A ban on Chubbers please. I believe in socialism. 🤣 Edited November 3, 2021 by hello1964
GinTreeS7
There are a lot worse offending things these days than what comes out of Chubbys mouth e.g. people trafficking , spiking, drugs etc. let him be and let him entertain in Sheffield .... Its amazing that people come down on hurty words (even ones said in jest) like a ton of bricks but they’re happy to turn a blind eye to the sexual exploitation of children, it’s a very sick world we live in. jake
if all the people on this thread moaning about the show being pulled, had bought a ticket, i'm sure it would still be going ahead. It had hardly sold any tickets and the controversy was manufactured to cover that

Agreed, the tickets had only just been printed and his shows always sell better nearer the day and nearly always are full.

Chubby has been very considerate to his older fans. He's sold so few tickets that most theatres haven't bothered opening their upper tiers. Thus saving the aging fans from having to climb the stairs to see the old bigot.
