biggsy
Hi all I saw a post on Facebook earlier today that there was a dead carp at the surface and many more fish were at the surface struggling to breathe 😥 The EA has been informed.. Ned
Just been down to check it out. All the Carp are in the surface gasping. Any idea how they can be helped? Won't be any Fish alive by the end of the week at this rate. The drain/brook that feeds this from the Forge Dam end is totally silted up so very little (if any) fresh water is getting into the dam. Who in the EA do you contact? Anyone got a council contact?
crookesey
The RSPCA might just help in respect of re-locating the fish.
Ned
I've reported to the EA emergency line also. Unfortunately I've little faith something will be done. It would be sad to relocate the fish as I've seen people fishing there for them time to time. Think it's the only remaining Dam with any fish in it. I've contacted the friends of porter valley group as well. Maybe the will help. Finger crossed.
biggsy
There's video's on Facebook of the E.A. using powerful pumps to circulate the water and get some oxygen back in although there's going to be a mini heatwave this week or so I was told!🥺 Biggsy..
