Drove back a slightly damaged (Ford) X type Jag a while ago.

Old Boss asked me what was wrong with it?

Looked him in't eye and told him - 

"Some Bar Steward's fitted a diesel engine in it!"

Oil burner in a Mond…<cough>…Jag? Well that’s just plain wrong.

I mean, I see Maseratis saloons with oil burners every other day here. Maseratis, FGS! Just what is wrong with people? 🤣

 

Caught myself looking at an XJ R (might have been S…sporty/aggressive-looking beast anyway) in matte dark grey the other day. 5l of v8 goodness, with a supercharger on top for ***** and giggles. Really, really fetching.
 

I really should, cos they ain’t going to be making cars like these much longer, and a Project 8 is likely unattainable. But that XJ really is a big car.
 

And not exactly ideal if we start getting fuel shortages here too 😉

I feel sorry for all the young un's out there.

Hot hatch! little cars always gonna be a little car.

But its their choice.

Is it hell as like, they've been conned.

Go and drive a big saloon car and tell me that's not better.

The old Mini being a prime example, what a load over overhyped nonsense.

Front wheel drives better in't snow - C**p.

 

Any way back on subject.

Just been out for petrol no prob's what so ever.

First petrol station £30 limit, topped her up £15 just to give me a bit better range in the runner-round 

as nothing planned.
