Jeffrey Shaw
Another energy supplier in distress. See BBC News today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59373198 It's more or less as large, on its own, as all the previous failed suppliers put together. El Cid
Companies need to suffer before Johnson gives the order to increase the enegy cap, he needs to be seen as on the side of the customer. Although the lack of competition in the energy market will be a problem. Shares in SSE and Centrica are slightly down today, you would think that share prices in the enegy sector would increase if the competition was going bust and they would be queueing up for their customers. So why on earth would they want to take them on?! That is in fact the reason Bulb went out of business - their model was to buy at the current price and sell to customers for slightly more. The price cap forced them to start selling at a large loss which is clearly unsustainable.
