When Do You Take Your Christmas Decorations Down?

Just a bit of fun. We were having this debate last night.

 

We take our down on the first Sunday in January....just before we go back to work on the Monday.

 

So this year it will be the 3rd January 

 

My aunt said she leaves hers up till mid-January

 

When do you take yours down?

Always put them up 1 December and take them down 2 January.

As soon as possible.   The tree and trimmings go up about a week before Christmas Day and are usually taken down on 2nd January.

I thought they had to be taken down before 6th January

These days a big majority of people don't even bother with trimmings ect, ref to Xmas,   the only thing I have, is a sign on the front door saying,  Trick or Treaters and Carol singers, BEWARE OF THE DOG.    roll on Jan 2nd.

Yes - 12th Night is the traditional end of Christmas festivities.

Twelfth Night is when my decorations come down – although the bare tree remains in situ for the remainder of January because I love the scent.
