She wasn't given it for having her face scarred but for her work supporting disfigurement injury charities. Your complaint against her is akin to moaning that Simon Weston got an OBE and a CBE when other soldiers with injuries didn't.

 

Whilst many of the awards may be undeserved, people should at least find out why they've been awarded before commenting rather than just assuming it's for what they are best known for.

She’s in the position because of her getting hurt,she even designs bedding for next,not sure what charity she represents but her career on tv is well publicised.

Simon Weston got these awards so why do you think the others didn’t?

In both cases my point about "people should at least find out why they've been awarded" applies.

 

Others have had acid thrown in their faces or suffered burns injuries in war. Those who focussed on themselves afterwards, an entirely reasonable thing for them to do, generally don't get given awards. Those who work to help others who find themselves in similar situations are more likely to be given them.

It would have been nice to see the  lads and lasses at longley lane vaccination centre getting some sort of reward them and all the other thousands working their rocks off to protect the country, will they be rewarded when all this is over?.

Many of his cabinet buddies came from Sheffields so called socialist gang of six , they leaned the same way has him in later life although one or two of em are still spouting about being for the workers .
