It's on a backwater part of the Forum, which doesn't get much footfall, which is a pity. It really needs to be on General Discussions or Sheffield News and Discussions which get a lot more visits. This is important. It affects a lot of people or will do in the future. Everyone needs to be aware of it. Maybe the Mods could move it?
SCM1
George Lindars Hammond just lost his council seat, good Adult Social Care Committee Chair, a loss, don't know who is replacing him.

Yep, I've suffered many a time from worse than useless Agency care staff. Don't get me wrong, the one thing I am NOT is racist, but to have to keep repeating myself to black care staff because they don't understand me gets incredibly annoying, incredibly fast! Especially when I freely admit I was absent when they were handing patience out.
Anna B
Stop expecting just anyone to be suitable for care work. It takes a special kind of person with the right qualities to do this work well. Kindness, dedication and patience are high on the list, and actually wanting to do the job for the right reasons.

I am painfully aware of that. I'm also aware the care companies are so desperate for staff they'll literally employ Fred or Joanne Bloggs from the Job Centre rather than qualified carers who they don't have to "train up" in order to do the job.
