What Is It With The 20% Increases On Food?

Recommended Posts

Jacobs Mini Cheddars,

Home Bargains was £1 for 6 packets...

Now £1-19.

Fair enough difficult times..

But, these were all broken up, I like to have a packet with my nightly drink..

But now it's like doing a jigsaw puzzle, fitting the pieces together so I get a proper round one.

I despair.

I noticed this on my yahoo mail home page today:

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/mar/26/uk-supermarkets-accused-of-bombarding-shoppers-with-cheap-meat

On the one hand we have complaints about inflation and rising food prices and then on the other complaints about cheap meat deals that most people obviously want to see.

See Asda were making a great deal about how they are keeping a lot of prices down for the year, they have increased  the price of  their plain baguette by 25%.

So don't buy the baguette.

by a loaf.

Goes further, keeps yer belly full.

Talking about bread,

Asda Tesco's and Lidl have all started doing 50/50 loafs.

55p (ish) or pay £1.10 for Hovis / Kingsmill.

Buy one loaf or two for the same price?

No brainer isn't it :suspect: .

Keep safe, shop wise, eat well 8) .
