Better than assets being siezed and disappearing into government accounts.

The reality is that the millions that he had acquired that enabled him to buy the club in the first place, come from corruption with Putin and his kleptocracy

yup. although it does show with where he wants to put the money hes far from happy with Putins current plans? may show that more and more at the top in Russia might be moving further away from Putins "regime", i have heard rumours of top brass speaking openly about it not being the correct choice too.

The reason why the judgement can’t be linked, is because it isn’t out yet.

The final 5-day hearing only just took place in late January 2022.

The notion that Cadwalladr’s investigation should have been followed by “arrests”, as some test of validity of her findings, is as nonsensical as Sue Gray’s report into Partygate and all those other long-established transgressions of one sort or another by Establishment members, without any consequence what-so-ever. Topically, lately illustrated by the UK’s (increasingly embarrassing) leniency on Russian oligarchs. All put aside the fact that hers was a journalistic investigation, not an official report or a Police investigation.

Not to worry, though. It’s not as if she’s been alone in investigating Russia and other ‘dark money’ influence.

Thanks for that.

Misinformation peddlers always lose in the end. Because facts.

I was happy to read about that particular bit of good news earlier.

You been reading The Guardian again?

Nope, a Russian website

Fake news’ crackdown: A bill has been submitted to the Russian State Duma that would increase the punishment for spreading “fake news about the actions of the Russian military” to up to fifteen years in prison. The draft law is expected to be adopted at a parliamentary session in the next week (Russian lawmakers are scheduled to meet on March 4, 9, and 10).

In the wake of Trumpism, fake news means any news they dont like, ie:- almost all of it.
