And the report he alludes to is by Newsweek  -  an American magazine with a very colourful history which publishes once weekly and seems to go bust every handful of years.

Unlike most large American magazines, Newsweek has not used fact-checkers since 1996.

Newsweek journalists have themselves,  expressed criticism of the editorial quality of its reporting since its change in ownership in 2013.

In November 2022,  it was reported that Newsweek has "taken a marked radical right turn by buoying extremists and promoting authoritarian leaders"

People who get their news from extremist publications, especially in America,  rather than from English news outlets such as  BBC news or Sky news, etc

tend to become extremists with extremist views.  Unfortunately, we have a few on this forum with the same views on Ukraine, Coronavirus, political leaders etc.

These are indeed, dangerous times and we do need some western leadership.  Bit late though because we needed some common sense Western leadership 30 years ago.

Hmmm. I thought you weren't talking to me🤔

Here's how World wars start.

NEWSWEEK

The Government Keeps Lying to Us About Ukraine. Where Is the Outrage?

"On June 4, a group referring to itself as the "Polish Volunteer Corps" issued a boastful announcement confirming its participation in a series of cross-border ground offensives into Russia. News of these audacious raids was jarring enough, given the many prior assurances of U.S. and Ukrainian war planners, who insisted no attacks would be carried out inside Russian territory. It was all the more conspicuous that the incursion units were apparently comprised of Polish soldiers." ...

Newsweek: see Organgrinder's post  #2760 above.

Polish Volunteer Corps: a group of volunteers from Poland, the US, the UK, Canada, and Romania.

I'm talking to the others, not you.

I began the report HE alludes to      not      the report YOU allude to.

Yeah but you quoted me which sort of suggests you were.

Well sorry then,  but it's still right wing gossip rather than news.

I'm sure they brought their own weapons, too!  :)

Like the Chinese "volunteers" who fought for North  Korea! All 3 million of 'em!

And Viet Nam!  some 350,000 Chinese "volunteers" signed up for that one too!

:)

These are indeed, dangerous times and we do need some western leadership.  Bit late though because we needed some common sense Western leadership 30 years ago.

It seems our armchair telly Military Strategists are out and about today.  :)

Meanwhile the obscene insanity in Ukraine continues.

NATO is still buying its gas and diesel oil from Mr Putin, thereby financing his weaponry used to destroy the Ukraine, and kill it's people.

Europe has the blood of brave Ukrainians on its hands!

BBC

May 23

Russia sanctions: What impact have they had on its oil and gas exports?

"Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, many countries have pledged to end or restrict their oil and gas imports to curtail Moscow's revenues and hinder its war effort".

Promises, promises!  :)

"The Russian economy is highly dependent on its energy sector, and Europe is a major importer of Russian energy, making cutting back difficult.

"Russia's gas sector has also been targeted. The EU said in March it would cut gas imports from Russia by two-thirds within a year. The UK, which only imported small quantities of Russian gas, it has now ended this altogether.

The we have the usual  'splainers and blamers"

As my fave 'splainer and blamer poster above puts it:

"These are indeed, dangerous times and we do need some western leadership.  Bit late though because we needed some common sense Western leadership 30 years ago".

So, excuses and no responsibility expected from the current crop of European "Leaders", and an admonishment to ignore any news that doesn't come pre-sanitized by these same "Leaders" and their pals in the Media!

And so, "round and round it goes, and where it stops, nobody knows!"  :)

And as usual, question the madness and they'll come after you with fangs drawn.

They cannot and WILL not be wrong!

(Until it all blows up in their faces!)

Ask them who they think blew up the Nord stream 2 pipeline and the Kakhovka Dam.

Go on, I could do with a giggle 😃
