Food Shortages?

We were in sainsburys  at the peaks at the weekend and some of the aisles were empty of food. We heard 2 women say we had better get stocked up because it looks like there is a shortage of food. I asked one of the assistants why the aisles were empty and she said that they were re-arranging things because they were going to have some new fridges put in.

Yeah I saw that too when I was in there. Obviously the two women stocking up unnecessarily were so blind they didn't see the multiple giant signs stating they were making some improvements to the layout which is why there was no stock in certain places.

Just goes to show how easy these panics get started and how moronic some people can be when they don't even bother to look or ask before opening their mouth.

Morrisons, yesterday. A similar thing occurred . I'm not sure why some of the shelves were emptyish , could have been a revamp or relocation to other aisle but 1 family (I assumed they were all the same family) bought quite a lot if uht and powdered milk because there was no actual milk available. Heard the older male chuntering about having to fill the car so he can go around the shops to buy some real milk 🙄

Stormont’s Agriculture Minister has warned of possible food shortages this year because of the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Edwin Poots told the Assembly that the consequences of the Russian action would be “significantly greater” than the consequences of Brexit.

Perfect time of year to look through the Suttons website and start growing your own if you are worried.

Have a look for local farm shops to help them increase sales so they can grow more.

I love Heinz tomato soup.

As a keen advocate of stockpiling I can offer you the following

A cubic metre of candles from the time of the three day week, quite dusty and partly merged into one big candle.

700 tins of corned beef bought during the Falklands conflict, many rusting, some split.

A pallet of corn tortillas from the end of the Mayan Calendar, some no longer yellow.

A gallon of Macassar Oil and 250 antimacassars left to me by my great grandmother from the time of the great armchair crisis

Indeed, I thought we may never taste such wonders again. Unfortunatly I went vegan as a protest against the war and rather shot myself in the foot.

When you shot yourself in the foot, I hope you were using army surplus? 😁
