It's about a pub that I went in in the Club Garden road/London road/ Sharrow area in the early seventies. At the time it was fairly new and it was a Tetleys' House, I think. A friend of mine, Peter Kitson, worked there for a time. The problem is I cannot remember the name. What I do recall was the Juke Box and it had a load of hits that were popular at the time. Partridge family and the Osmonds! I have Michael Liversidge's book the definitive A to Z listing of Sheffield Public Houses, but still can't find it. Does anyone know? Rockers rule Posted March 28, 2022 Share Posted March 28, 2022 Cross Gun's, Hasn't been a pub for years, says 'Sure start' in this pic, Google maps says it's now a 'Mind' 'Wellbeing centre'. You know how it is when you get thinking about some thing and it becomes an obsession. In those days I lived near the Botanical Gardens on Thompson Road and it used to take about 15 minutes to walk there to see my mate Peter Kitson. God! I'm old now.
