Well, I've had a response. Apparently the video I sent was enough to justify the driver being sent on a driver awareness course.

I'd say that's a result because if I'm honest I was rather regretting sending it in case he got points as we know only 3 points can have an effect on insurance and even jobs if they require a clean license. 

So all in all I'm happy with the result 👍

Oh come on the only point in sending the video is to try and punish the culprit it is not up to you as to what the punishment should be.

If the driving in question was bad enough to endorse their licence then it's no worry of yours what the consequences are.

 

Driving course is usually an alternative to points for someone who's not got any recent history of bad driving, in many cases it makes people realise they need to improve and drop their bad habits before the punishment gets any worse.
